Marble figured Padauk
is uncommon. We rarely see it offered. When we get it in, we often have to tell experienced luthiers (who have worked with Padauk before) what it is.
Padauk (sometimes misspelled as Paduak, paduke, padook) is a very unique open grained African hardwood. The scientific name is Pterocarpus soyauxii. Our Padauk is kiln dried.
The color is often described as Vermillion.
The dimensions on this set are large and fit many guitar or bass patterns but check your template to confirm.
