Hello again from MusicianAtHeart. We are very happy to offer our brass Fret Punch for guitar and bass. There are a variety of tools used in fretwork.  Our Fret Punch is a unique tool idea designed for the express purpose of
hand-setting frets
and tapping-in loose and high frets (buzz).  Whether you're doing a full install or simply repairing a loose fret, this item does the trick.
Many luthiers specifically use this tool for cases of "string buzz".  Stubborn string buzz is usually the result of a fret that's a bit unseated.  It will rise up out of the fret slot and become too close to the string.  A tap or two from our Punch does the trick.
Handmade in our USA shop from brass hex bar, it won't damage your fret regardless of fret material.
The Punch is sized for guitar and bass
- 4" long, 3/8" diameter hex bar and round-grooved at the punch end to slip right onto the fret top.  Soft black vinyl sleeve for no-slip holding during use.
